Add-on for Chainline by Dragy Moto Lab

Lap timing and pass scoring for Chainline

Chainline Moto Lap is an add-on that joins and extends the Chainline app from Dragy Moto Lab. It records flying laps and drag passes with a live predictive delta, sectors, G and lean, then sends the numbers into Chainline’s Times lab as a paste, a Times JSON file or a full lap packet. It also exports RaceChrono CSV and VBO.

Chainline itself (gearing bench, GPS timer, Times lab, weather, your account and Pro) lives at dragymotolab.e-splice.com. Moto Lap adds the track side.

The tools

What Moto Lap adds to Chainline

Predictive delta

Live predictive delta against your reference lap, with three sectors and a theoretical best.

GPS and Bluetooth sources

Phone GPS for laps, a link simulator at 10 Hz and 25 Hz, and a direct Bluetooth link to a Dragy Pro in Chrome or Edge.

iPhone imports

Where the browser can’t open Bluetooth, import the GPX, CSV or decrypted JSON exported by the Dragy or Dragy Lap app. Encrypted files are left alone.

Pass mode

Scores 0–60, 60–130, eighth and quarter mile, 100–200 km/h and 60–0.

Ride data

Speed, longitudinal and lateral G, lean, and minimum corner speed.

Replay and compare

3D replay, lap comparison and a share card.

Video overlay

Dual-camera or imported action-cam overlay, synced by a time offset.

Tracks

Practice layouts plus a click-to-draw track editor.

Local board

A local board with an on-device verification badge and illustrative class references.

Weather

Weather and a workshop density-altitude estimate, including local air from Open-Meteo.

How it works

Three steps

1

Open the app

Go to the App page. On a phone it opens full screen.

2

Pick a source

Phone GPS, the 10/25 Hz simulator, a Bluetooth link in Chrome or Edge, or an imported GPX, CSV or JSON file.

3

Send it to Chainline

Review delta, sectors, G and lean and the 3D replay, then import the paste or Times JSON in Chainline › Times lab.

Closed course

Use it on a closed course

  • Phone GPS is usually about 1 Hz. The 10/25 Hz path is a labeled simulator, not a connected logger.
  • Built-in tracks are practice geometry, not official circuit maps.
  • Class references are illustrative pace marks.
